Are you interested in serving on NEMA's Board?
NEMA has several vacancies on its Board of Directors and we are actively seeking nominations for new board members. If you or someone you know is interested, we would like to hear from you.
Serving on the NEMA Board is a meaningful way to participate in the broader museum community as the organization addresses the challenges and opportunities for museums in the New England region. It is also a thought-provoking opportunity to work with and learn from colleagues. The board and NEMA staff meet five times a year at various museum locations in the region. Board members also serve on committees and are active participants in the annual conference and workshops. Click here to download the Board Duties and Committee Descriptions.
Anyone is eligible to apply. Competitive applicants will have a track record of active NEMA membership and service to the organization. NEMA is committed to ensuring diversity in its board representation.
Nomination forms can be downloaded as a Word document or a pdf. All nominations must be submitted by June 30, 2017. The Nominating Committee will review recommendations and make its nominations to the Board of Directors later this summer. The NEMA membership will vote at the Annual Meeting on October 27, in Falmouth, MA.
Submit your nomination form to Mark Gold, Nominating Committee Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
